In autumn 2023, a total of 16 Škoda-Solaris 24m (Škoda 38Tr) trolleybuses arrived in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. The first arrived at the city's transport company, DPB, on 4 September and started its test runs. The necessary permissions to put the trolleybuses into service were granted at the end of the year, allowing all 16 vehicles to enter service at the beginning of 2024. The trolleybuses operate only on line 71, accounting for about half of the total number of vehicles on the line on weekdays. The trolleybuses are well-proven, they can turn into narrower streets and have almost the same running characteristics as the single-articulated models.
