A journey from Esplanade to Shyambazar on an Air-conditioned tram of the West Bengal Transport Corporation (WBTC) (the erstwhile Calcutta Tram Company). The fare on this tram is Rs. 20, in my opinion the tram is one of the best ways to travel in the city of joy, particularly the tram route which goes to Kidderpore via the Maidan. The number of routes has reduced drastically, but there is a new hope that AC trams may revitalise this excellent mode of transport.
