Middleton Railway
A number of trams from then recently closed tram companies were collected and preserved at this location. Unfortunately, this was to no avail for some trams, such as this one in the foreground: they were vandalised and/or burned out. This tram type was frankly unique: it was the largest double-decker tram ever, with 106 seats. Ultimately, no tram of this type survived.

The arrival by rail of this tram from Swansea in 2 parts. Both parts were united but the tram was later vandalised and also burnt out.
