This tram was preserved and stored on different places, first in France, later back in Belgium.
Ultimately, the tram was intended for a local tram museum, which was never realized.
In the end, a court decided that the tram could be scrapped, after no one could determine the rightful owner — or wanted to be, because the scrapyard, where the vehicle was parked, also demanded money...

After the closure of the Charleroi city tram, several trams were preserved, albeit without any real concrete purpose.
3 of these preserved trams were stored at a local railway museum (without catenary) in France in 1982.
