Trolejbusy VETRA ELR byly stavěny za využití podvozku a karoserie autobusu Berliet PLR. Pro dopravce toto řešení znamenalo výhodu unifikace náhradních dílů mezi autobusy a trolejbusy. Typ ELR 100 disponoval slabším trakčním motorem o výkonu (100HP≈74kW). Po vyřazení předán do Saint-Étienne — zde pouze jako zdroj náhradních dílů. Trolleybuses VETRA ELR were built using the chassis and body of the bus Berliet PLR. For carriers, this solution had the advantage of unifying spare parts between buses and trolleybuses. Vehicles of ELR 100 type had a weaker traction engine with power (100HP≈74kW). Transferred to Saint-Étienne after withdrawn — here only as a source of spare parts.
