A standard (and official) Valpo route taxi, а trolleybus, and a private midibus compete for space at the bus stop.
Regardless of a somewhat special status in the city, and a clear preferred choice amid some riders, trolleybuses are totally outnumbered.

Trolleybus 802 serving the Line 802.
Since 1991 the Line 802 Plaza Barón — Aduana via Avenida Colón remains the only surviving trolleybus service.
The Line 801 via Avenida Pedro Montt is not operated due to competition with private midibuses, even though the overhead is intact.
