Outside the classic summer months, more and more holidaymakers are coming to the coast. Although the frequency of the tram is then increased, it's totally inadequate for the number of passengers. Not everyone would get on this tram and have to hope they would have better luck on the next one.

Snow is rare on the Belgian coast. Fog, on the other hand, sometimes occurs. On that particular day, the fog was so dense that it was actually (even with quite a lot of light) almost impossible to see the tram any more from the classic spot in the dunes: the colour scheme makes the whole thing look completely desolate. And I had to be satisfied: a month earlier, this particular tram rode around completely in black...

Oostende, Troonstraat

This was a chilly, foggy day in the middle of the winter holidays. The trams on this route were overcrowded and most of those waiting looked sad: at best, they just barely got on the tram, but at every stop, people were left behind all the day. Certainly families with prams had little to no chance of getting on the tram.
