Kidderpore Depot

The Kidderpore Depot at the end of Route 36 is partially used by diesel buses, while trams just sit there disused.
Route 36 remains suspended with infrastructure obstructed or partially removed.

Information regarding Route 36 reopening keeps appearing in tramway circles. However, this is a prime example of wishful thinking. The entire overhead along Route 36 is removed, and tracks are interrupted and even paved over in some places. Moreover, the right-of-way is interrupted by construction of metro's Line 2 near Esplanade. Until the metro line is built, the resurrection of Route 36 seems unrealistic.

Информация о возобновлении работы 36-го маршрута почему-то постоянно появлется в трамвайных кругах. Это яркий пример принятия желаемого за действительное. Вся контактная сеть по трассе маршрута 36 демонтирована, а трамвайное полотно в некоторых местах "заплаточно" заасфальтровано. Более того, на путях маршрута на подходе к центральной конечной Esplanadae ведётся строительство 2-й линии метро. Как минимум, пока новая линия метро не будет построена, возрождение 36-го маршрута нереально.
