An 8-car rush hour train from Chicago stops at the 11th Street Station at E 11 St. and Pine St.
The rear of the train ends up somewhere back at Washington St. a few city blocks away.
Passengers disembark from the 1st and 2nd cars only via side doors for level boarding (middle doors are designed for stations with high platforms).
The only protection from moving cars are the watchful eyes of the conductor and the sign that says 'Danger — Stop here for trains when lights flashing'.
The only lights that are flashing throughout the process are those in front of the train itself.
