If only 1% of the existing historical photos were shared here, Transphoto would undoubtedly be the best documented site on the internet.
We should therefore be grateful to the author for sharing (a part of) his collection. Most don't do it, keep it for themselves and later the valuable photos disappear into the darkness.
I know some photographers, who protect their photos like the gold of Fort Knox. In the best case, you might see a photo of them in a publication. Everything else is considered as a big secret...
