The fiery end of City Railway Company of Dayton, Ohio, car #72 on October 27, 1947. Car #72 was one of the curved sided cars built by the Barney & Smith Car Company and used for Railfan trips. The local Railfan club was not able to raise the $750 needed to purchase the car so it was burned to salvage the scrap metal.
