Автобус:
ex Belgium CUT-308
1977 MIVG — 68
01.07.1991 De Lijn — 68
Троллейбус: переоборудован с использованием частей от Škoda 9TrH. Допуска к работе с пассажирами не получил. Использовался только в служебных целях. Утилизирован (списан) после 2003 г.
Цитата (Michal Jaroszynski, 18.11.2018): > Interesting! I always thought that it was rebuilt in Kaunas and was supposed to operate as a standard passenger trolleybus...
Because it WAS rebuilt in Kaunas. The electric motor and other parts were used from Škoda 9Tr. It was indeed a proper trolleybus, but it didn't get the permission to carry passengers, so it was used to carry ticket checkers, and for learning purposes.

This is interesting. Then there are 2 similar buses that were converted into a trolleybus (sic). I was and is not the only one who was convinced that it is the Ghent one that has been moved to Kaunas. In those years buses were bought by obscure traders and their fate was afterwards hard to figure out. Thank you for the clarification!
>This former bus (Gent, Belgium) was converted in Gent into a truck to de-ice the overhead line of the trolleybus line. The legislation in Belgium for a truck is less strict than for a bus: that's the reason. It was also sold as truck to Kaunas and not as (trolley)bus. It was never a trolleybus.
Keeping it here so that other people who will see this photo won't be mistaken. As it turns out, Ghent "trolleybus" is #06 / #7710 while here we have #68.
