Линия Синбундан (Линия DX) (신분당선)

The Shinbundang Line also known as DX Line (or Dynamic Express Line) is a 33,4 km long automated metro line. It is the world's fifth metro line to run completely driverless, the second completely driverless metro line to open in South Korea, after Busan metro Line 4, and the first such line in the Seoul area. It connects Sinsa station and Gwanggyo station. The total runtime along the line is 42 minutes, travelling at 90 km/h with top speed of 110 km/h. The line boasts the fastest average speed of any metro line in South Korea.

Phase 1 with 6 station opened 28.10.2011. Phase 2 opened on 30.01.2016 with 6 stations to the south, extending the line to serve Yongin's Suji-gu and Suwon's Gwanggyo New City. Phase 3 extension northwards to Sinsa Station opened on 28.05.2022.

The fare on the DX Line is higher than standard fare for the rest of the Seoul metro system. The fare at the time of writing in 2023 is 2,150 won ($1,63) which is charged by adding 900 won surcharge to the metro base fare of 1,250 won. Beyond Jeongja Station additional 200 won is charged.
