Station Luxembourg — Luxemburg (Trône — Troon)
Statistically, it happens every 10 years that someone tries to get into the tram tunnel with his car. Sometimes along the tracks, sometimes along the stairs... It always ends badly for the car.

Many photos are still taken at the same spot by tram enthusiasts today.
However, there was no tram museum or any other activity in 1969.
The trams in the photos are not P.C.C.'s, but both are rebuilt four-axles, which have been given a new (P.C.C.) body.
Both trams still exist: one of them ended up in the museum as a work tram, the other is reported to still exist in Canada, although its fate (now: 2023) is particularly uncertain.

Depot Haacht
In the 1960s, few thought about the preservation of vehicles: this was the case both in Belgium and the rest of the world.
There were a number of exceptions, including the author of this photograph. A large part of the existing historical collection (in Belgium) is due to them. They did an incredible job at the time, rescuing the most interesting vehicles from scrapping and taking them into temporary storage, waiting for a definitive solution to be found. After all, there was no question of museums or other interested parties at the time. After acquisition, both trolleybuses were temporarily parked *outside* next to a depot of N.M.V.B./S.N.C.V.
In the end, most of the vehicles they rescued ended up in museums in good condition, and this also applies to both trolleybuses.
Respect for those who realised this in difficult circumstances at the time.
